    Katy Perry's 2024 comeback has been...interesting. Her latest announcement, however, could be exactly what she needs to revive her hype following the backlash from her new release.

    The "Woman's World" singer announced via X (formerly known as Twitter) that she's headed to Australia on September 28th. Not for a tour or a new Smurfs movie.

    For AFL! Perry will be gracing the Melbourne Cricket Ground stage for the 2024 Grand Final.

    According to her X post, the Grammy Award nominee is excited for her return Down Under and "to perform in front of 100,000 of the best and loudest fans in the world".

    Fans of the "Roar" artist have been quick to express their own excitement about her announcement. The words "Super Bowl 2.0" have already been mentioned in reference to Perry's iconic 2015 performance at Super Bowl XLIX, which wrangled 121 million viewers. If you're not familiar, check it out:
